Myra Nicholson

Ms. Nicholson received her J.D. from Stetson University of Law in 1987. She received her undergraduate degrees in Economics and Government from Western Kentucky University in 1984.

Ms. Nicholson is an active member in good standing of the Florida Bar (1987) and is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court, the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida.

Over the past 25 years, Ms. Nicholson has represented and advised clients on a wide variety of corporate, regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters, including regulation and operation of broker-dealers, investment advisers, and insurance companies and agents; securities law issues; mergers and acquisitions; corporate finance; public and private placement securities law; and general corporate law and compliance.

In her capacity as General Counsel for various securities and insurance companies, Ms. Nicholson has been intimately involved in business operations, management, and employment and labor law issues. Ms. Nicholson also counsels clients on technology based issues, including e-commerce, Internet law, privacy, intellectual property, and software. She has litigated complex e-commerce, intellectual property and Internet law disputes in state and federal court. She also negotiates and drafts service agreements and Internet-related agreements.
